But when fall comes, kicking summer out on its treacherous ass as it always does one day sometime after the midpoint of September, it stays awhile like an old friend that you have missed. It settles in the way an old friend will settle into your favorite chair and take out his pipe and light it and then fill the afternoon with stories of places he has been and things he has done since last he saw you.
― Stephen King
Fall has always been my favorite season with its seasonal food and drinks, holidays and celebrations, even its weather ― I can finally layer up and, truth be told, I’m also very fond of rain itself (remember that scene from Midnight in Paris?) and cute umbrellas. But the very best thing about autumn are its colors: red, yellow, purple, orange, pink, magenta and brown.
And color is probably the first reason that got me super interested in the Chicwish coat I’m wearing in these photos: being used to beige-toned trench coats, I had to have this one! But if you need more reasons, the shape is amazing and super flattering, not to mention how cozy it is.
Unfortunately I can’t link my pants (I bought them in Tokyo and the brand doesn’t ship internationally), but I’ve posted few alternatives alongside with my beloved dark caramel trench coat and beautiful green blouses.
