Poetry comes in many shapes.
When I was a little girl I was lucky enough to stumble upon one of the purest and most amazing of these shapes: Clover (1997-1999) by Clamp. This manga, despite being very short, changed me once and for all. Not just because it influenced my taste in fashion, art and my style in illustrations, but also because it completely altered my perception of the world and, in particular, of amusement parks. Whenever I see one my first thoughts go to Suu, Oluha and the hauntingly beautiful statue the former built for the latter.
Oluha said she loved amusement parks. And Fairy Park was her favorite. So I asked Grandma to build it here… that statue.
Almost two decades have passed since the moment I first read that marvelous story, and now I’m finally able to share with you these photos. I hope you like them as much as I do.
